McCain's View on Higher Education
McCain's Idea of improving higher education is to simplify it as much as possible. He believes that the application process for loans and tax benefits are confusing and complicated, which means that most people aren't getting as much support as they need or are entitled to. To do this McCain states that, consolidating tax forms and applications, family and students would help better families understanding eligibility for financial aid.

Obama would like to create the American Opportunity Tax Credit, which would refund the first 4000 dollars spent in school as long as the student completed 100 hours of community service. Like McCain, Obama would like to simplify the financial aid process, by adding a box to existing tax forms that could be easily checked off, a parent and student would be able to apply for financial aid by just checking a box.

though you can't see much in this video, pay attention to the audio. Obama lays out his plan for credit based on community service. He really knows how to community organize. I someone gets that joke.
